  • Programme objective: to equip students with core journalism skills, including ethical reporting, media literacy, and effective storytelling, while offering specialized knowledge in political analysis, sports reporting, and business journalism to prepare graduates for diverse career opportunities.
  • Duration: 2-year undergraduate programme in journalism. 
  • Course requirements: language skills, introduction to broadcasting, print journalism, creative writing, introduction to social psychology, and logic/critical thinking, media management, conflict resolution, media entrepreneurship, advanced print journalism, and research methods. A 3-month internship at the end of the second year that requires application of acquired knowledge and a full report of at least 1,500 words covering their experiences and work they performed.
  • Course electives: sports reporting, political reporting, business & economic reporting, entertainment reporting and science reporting.
  • Career prospects: reporter or correspondent, newspaper or magazine editor, broadcast technician, newscast director or producer, freelance writer, grant writer, specialized writer, editor, content writer, content manager, copywriter and communications manager.
